About Us

Waterland Pty Ltd has been established in Canberra since 1978 and has been involved in many irrigation projects throughout the Capital. It is the largest and the longest established irrigation business in Canberra.

Waterland Pty Ltd employs 25 staff, 19 in the field and 6 administration staff, some being part time. There are 5 qualified plumbers, 2 irrigation plumbers and 2 apprentices (1st & 2nd years) amongst the field staff. In addition, Waterland employs experienced trades assistants.

There are 2 working directors who are experienced and qualified in their own respective fields. Brett Amey is a qualified plumber and plan certifier with 19 years’ experience in the irrigation industry. Scott Amey is an Irrigation Plumber with 15 years’ experience.

We employ a draftsman with expertise in autocad as well as experts in the field of pumps. Waterland also has trained and qualified plant operators. Amongst our staff there are qualified Electro fusion, Extrusion and butt welders, skid steer competencies and staff with confined spaces certifications. All staff have their general induction (white) card and have completed the asbestos awareness course. We employ a safety officer and follow a strict WHS policy.

For many years, Waterland has consulted on and designed many irrigation projects for major landscape architects in Canberra, including DSB, Harris Hobbs, Redbox, Envirolinks, GHD, JEA and Scenic Landscapes.
